He is a founder of Health Rosetta, a blueprint for high-performance health benefits that accelerates adoption of simple, practical, nonpartisan fixes to our health care system and provides certification for benefits professionals.
In September of 2017, he released the book, The CEO Guide to Restoring the American Dream, which focuses on how high-performing organizations have solved health care's toughest challenges. This is also the message in his 2016 TEDx talk entitled "Health Care Stole the American Dream--Here's How We Take It Back."
In 2013, Dave Chase co-edited the seminal book on patient engagement, Engage! Transforming Healthcare Through Digital Patient Engagement, published by HIMSS. He has also written the formative paper on Direct Primary Care and founded one of the most successful technology platforms in health care.
As a leader of the industry association for digital advertising (Interactive Advertising Bureau), Dave Chase also played a driving role in turning the digital advertising market around in the aftermath of the dotcom bust; his work involving research, industry standards and education programs contributed to it becoming the leading advertising market, surpassing print, broadcast and cable TV.
Dave Chase was the CEO and Co-Founder of Avado, acquired by and integrated into WebMD and Medscape. Before Avado, he spent several years outside of health care in startups as a founder or in consulting roles with LiveRez.com, MarketLeader and WhatCounts. He was on the founding and leadership teams of two, billion-dollar-plus businesses within Microsoft, including their health care platform vertical business.
A husband, father of two student-athletes and oxygen-fueled mountain athlete, Dave Chase's team placed third in their division and 24th out of 500 teams in the oldest adventure race in the U.S. where he tackled the Nordic ski leg. He is also a former PAC-12, 800 m competitor and an advocate of life-long health and fitness.
